Schertler Basik with Wechter Exclusive Onboard Preamp

Discretely mounted on the edge of the bass side soundhole, this thumbwheel controls the onboard preamp gain. Please set gain close to center position to avoid overdriving the amplifier. This way you can use the gain control to increase or decrease volume without distortion. If the gain control is set too loud you may overdrive your amplifier resulting in distortion. Use the volume control on your amplifier (or mixing board) to control volume beyond what is available with the gain control.

Gain Control

Active bass and treble tone controls are mounted on the edge of the treble side soundhole. Please set to center position to start, then adjust to boost or cut frequency range.
